CORSETPUNK First thing I found in my intray this morning was this neatly corsetted masterpiece of Style and Elegance from, who else, Mademoiselle of Mystery herself. What a wonderful contrast to the Primark clad, junk food bloated samples of humanity I’ll see in the middle of Town today.——-Merci Cherie. It is of course the delightful Ophelia Overdose being surprisingly demure.

First thing I found in my intray this morning was this neatly corsetted masterpiece of Style and Elegance from, who else, Mademoiselle of Mystery herself. What a wonderful contrast to the Primark clad, junk food bloated samples of humanity I’ll see in the middle of Town today.——-Merci Cherie.

It is of course the delightful Ophelia Overdose being surprisingly demure.

ROYSTON VASEY NOTES AND NEWS Knowing of my interest in Corsets our Corset Correspondent sent me the link to this interesting page on the subject. I showed this picture to Mr A.C. Pitt-Rivers FRS, Curator of the Royston Vasey Museum of Artifacts and Implements and he was most interested, saying it was a magnificent specimen. He proposes, if suitable sponsorship can be found, to have the craftsmen at The Dreadnaught Corset Company produce a replica. It is a marvel of engineering with its triple fan lacing and with a considerable amount of steel in its constuction The Preston Mechanical Ladies feel it is worthy of their attention and indeed their Hon Secretary annie52 has volunteered to wear the replica when completed. We look forward to this event with keen interest.Click HERE

Note those wonderful gloves, and the big cogwheel in the foreground to accentuate her delicate femininity .Sent to me by The Corset Queen, Frenchtwist

William is the MD of Dreadnaught Corsets. “All reet?” he asks. “Fair to middlin” I reply “un thee?” “Bout same” says William. I wait expectantly. “I wor looking at that blog o’ thine last neet, about yon Dita Von Teese. Good customer of ours, tha knows. Has t’smallest waist av come across in 40 years of corsetting. Av fun this in t’drawer wi t’advertising stuff. That might like to put it in thi blog” With which he handed me the picture above.

IMPORTANT CORRECTION !!!!! We have been asked to point out by Lilian LeBonne of Le Chapeaux who made the hat worn by Mrs Ponsonby-Gore in the recent W.I. competition that the lighting fitment which  appears to be part of the hat is actually on the wall. Mlle LeBonne says however that she will make hats to suit any customer requirements including electrical fittings, the latter by arrangement with Master Li, the well known Royston Vasey experimenter and effluent expert.
