A MUST for Sherlockians
“I’ve never been happier to see anyone than I was to see Henry Knight. Sherlock had been bored. And trust me, you don’t want to be around him when he’s bored. He’s hyperactive, rude, arrogant and a real pain in the behind.
Yeah I know, same old Sherlock…” Read More

A wonderfully thoughtful and articulate exposition. Click HERE to read it all
“Molly Hooper is, finally, different. Molly Hooper is kind, thoughtful, always smiling, and intelligent in a way that you don’t really notice until you remember she’s a pathologist. She asks after people and cares about the answers, remembers little details because everything someone says is important. She probably still remembers how Sherlock likes his coffee. Her blog is pink, covered in kittens, and uses Comic Sans. She blunders her way through speaking, has serious foot-in-mouth syndrome, and can’t put on a pair of plastic gloves without making faces. She is one of the strongest women I have ever seen.”

I was watching my Sherlock Holmes DVD  the other night, the definitive version with Jeremy Brett. It struck me that as Holmes’s exploits are chronicled by Watson, so Master Li’s are chronicled by me, I’m the Watson to Master Li’s Holmes. The difference is that Holmes is fiction while I just record Li’s actual activities and the happenings in Royston Vasey, I haven’t the the imagination to do fiction.

These are for fellow Sherlockian Purple Gem but you can look at them too.
On a Sunday morning visit to the Manchester Aerospace Museum I popped round to the Granada TV’s back lot, next door, to see the set they were building for their Sherlock Holmes series to star Jeremy Brett as Holmes. There was a security man there but I walked briskly past his hut with a cheery “Good Morning” and a wave, as though I had every right to be there. He looked up from his paper and nodded. I was in !!. You can see from pics Baker Street was just fronts. Interiors were shot in studio. Taken 1982.
